Abby Millerd is a not-for-profit lawyer by day and a writer by night. Originally from rural NSW, she’s worked in aid in Indonesia and Cambodia, and now lives in Newcastle on Awabakal land with her husband, two toddlers, and rescue dog and cat. She loves to write about creeps and odd-bods and is currently completing a rural mystery called A Sunday Suicide, and querying The Mourner, a family drama x psychological suspense novel. Abby was recently awarded the 2025 Faber Scholarship for Writing a YA Novel.
