BottomDr Alecia Simmonds is an award-winning writer and legal academic at the University of Technology Sydney. She has written for Gourmet Traveller, The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian, the Australian Book Review, Qantas Magazine and Inside Story and is the author of the book Wild Man: the story of a police shooting, mental illness and the law which won the Davitt Prize for non-fiction in 2016. Her book Courting: An Intimate History of Love and the Law was published by La Trobe University Press/Black Inc in 2023.
