Prior to joining Varuna, Amy spent eight years at the Whitlam Institute at Western Sydney University, developing school and community programs and managing communications, marketing and outreach for the institute’s public policy work and events program. A graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School, Amy has worked as a producer on 702 ABC Sydney as well as in commercial radio and has reported for Triple J and ABC Darwin. Amy has also worked as a media trainer, labourer, and children’s ball pit supervisor, amongst other things.
Now working part-time to lead the digital programs for writer development at Varuna, Amy is taking time to work on her own writing projects.
