BottomDebra Oswald is a novelist, screenwriter and author, creator of the TV series ‘Offspring’. and a two-time winner of the NSW Premier’s Literary Award. Her stage plays include ‘Gary’s House’, ‘Mr Bailey’s Minder’, ‘The Peach Season’, ‘Dags’, ‘Skate’, and ‘Stories in the Dark’. Television credits include award-winning episodes of ‘Police Rescue’, ‘Sweet and Sour’ and ‘Bananas in Pyjamas’. Debra has published nine children’s books and four adult novels – Useful, The Whole Bright Year, The Family Doctor and most recently One Hundred Years of Betty. Debra performed her one-woman show, ‘Is There Something Wrong With That Lady?’ at Griffin Theatre in 2021 and a return season at the Ensemble in 2023.
