Elfy is an award-winning journalist, presenter, and writer. Her first book, The One Thing We’ve Never Spoken About, focuses on the experiences of people living with complex mental health conditions and the failures of the mental health care system in Australia.

She started out her career as a science reporter for BuzzFeed News and has since had work published in The Saturday Paper, The Guardian, and VICE. She has also produced and hosted shows such as The Junkee Takeaway, as well as the Spotify Exclusive Australian politics podcast, Left Right Out, alongside co-host and fellow journalist Justine Landis-Hanley.

Elfy has worked at Mamamia as an Executive Editor at Mamamia, producing long-form journalism as well as regularly appearing on podcasts like Mamamia Out Loud and The Quicky.
