Fiona Murphy is an award-winning writer and critic based in the Blue Mountains. Her work has appeared in The Guardian, ABC, The Saturday Paper, Griffith Review, The Big Issue, among many other outlets and anthologies. Her memoir, The Shape of Sound, explores her experiences of deafness. It has been released in Australia, New Zealand, UK and North America. It was highly commended in the 2022 Victorian Premier’s Awards.
