BottomGeraldine Brooks AO was born and raised in Sydney’s inner-west. She worked as a reporter for the Sydney Morning Herald and the National Times before becoming a foreign correspondent for the Wall Street Journal, covering crises in the mideast, Africa and the Balkans. She is author of six novels, including the Pulitzer-Prize winning March and bestsellers, People of the Book and Horse. She’s also written non-fiction, including her latest book, Memorial Days, a memoir about marriage and loss.
