During her 35- year award-winning journalistic career, she has hosted and reported for ABC’s Late Edition nightly news, SBS’s World News Tonight and starred as a special guest presenter on ABC TV’s Gardening Australia. Indira has also hosted three seasons of the SBS TV award-winning series Filthy Rich and Homeless and executive-produced the two live episodes. She was the media manager at Choice and created the now annual Choice Shonky awards for the worst consumer products. She has also worked for the UN in Geneva.
Indira is an ambassador for Sydney’s homeless crisis centre the Wayside Chapel. Indira currently hosts ABCTV’s weekly Compass program on Sunday nights. She has written three books the best-selling The Edible Balcony, The Edible City and her latest best-selling book is The Space Between The Stars.
