His literary work has appeared in journals and anthologies for over fifteen years, and his collection of short stories, Since Asbestos, was published by Come Sundown in 2017.
James’ skateboarding journalism has appeared in Slam, Thrasher Magazine, The Skateboarder’s Journal, Fuknoath and numerous independent zines.
In 2022 he curated and designed Shralp, an exhibition for Newcastle Museum that explored local skateboarding through the lens of Australian print media.
He also publishes Sprawlers, an underground Australian skateboarding zine.
