BottomJoe Flood comes from a family of authors. He was brought up in Perth, and presently lives in the Blue Mountains. He was formerly a CSIRO Principal Research Scientist and a policy analyst for the United Nations. He began writing fiction and creative memoir in 2010. In 2023-24 he has published several short stories and poems in Australia, Ireland and the USA, a compilation of memoir and literary criticism Remembering Dorothy, and a short genealogical travel book. He is currently in the process of getting another novel published, Jacob’s Ladder, set in Perth in 1970-71.
