Nerds & Music are Clark Gormley and Wayne Thompson. They write and perform wordy songs about the modern world. Their repertoire ranges from sea shanties about the national broadband network to meditations on the colour brown. Audiences have been rendered dumbstruck by their weirdness, witticisms, wordplay, and alliteration.

Newcastle Writers Festival would like to acknowledge the Awabakal and Worimi peoples, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the festival takes place, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community.
