Nick Milligan

Over the past two decades, Nick Milligan has worn many hats.

His work as an entertainment journalist has seen his stories published everywhere from Rolling Stone, YEN and Frankie to local rag The Newcastle Herald. He was also the editor-in-chief of celebrated streetpress Reverb. As an author, he has published two works of fiction – the novel Enormity and the short story collection Tomcat Feelings. He has another book on the way.

As a film tragic, Nick appears on ABC Radio each week to wax lyrical about the latest cinematic releases. As a pop culture geek, he hosts the weekly Music and Movie Trivia night at Mayfield’s Stag and Hunter Hotel.

As a curator, alongside musician and news journalist Dan Flegg, Nick pieced together last year’s acclaimed Newcastle Writers Festival event Words and Music at Newcastle’s Conservatorium, with the event returning to the festival in 2024.
