BottomZiggy Ramo is an International award-winning artist of Wik and Solomon Islander heritage. Ramo explores his lived experience through an array of mediums, establishing himself as a true multi-hyphenate: musician, author, actor, composer.
Ramo directed his music video ‘Little Things’, updating Paul Kelly’s ‘From Little Things Big Things Grow’, commissioned by the Sydney Opera House. The clip won Gold at the Asia Pacific Shots award 2021. Winning FBi’s Album of the Year for both his 2020 debut Black Thoughts and his 2023 sophomore release Sugar Coated Lies. The title track was used in the ACTA nominated Stan series Black Snow, in which Ziggy made his acting, and composing debut. In 2023 Ramo was enlisted by Tim Minchin collaborating on ‘Play It Safe’, a short musical film that went on to win a Grand Prix award at Cannes Lions festival.
An unstoppable creative force, Ramo unveiled his three dimensional project ‘Human?’. Co-publishing his debut book with Pantera Press, which launched at the 2024 Melbourne Writers Festival. As well, the album Human?, hit the ARIA Charts. Carrying the ancestral name of Ramo, meaning the person to which you are accountable, his work is a force to be reckoned with.
