A returned Novocastrian, Scott Bevan is the author of six books. His most recent, The Lake: Exploring a Splendid Sheet of Water, is a journey in words and stories around Lake Macquarie. His new play, The Rest is Silence, will be given its premiere season by Newcastle Theatre Company in October. As well as kayaking and writing, Scott enjoys supporting his local economy by drinking Hunter reds – but usually not simultaneously.
