Join author, artist and fine art conservator, Christabel Blackman, in conversation with Newcastle Art Gallery Head of Curatorial and Exhibitions, Miriam Kelly, as they explore a fabulous portal of art and love between Charles and Barbara Blackman. This special event will feature a discussion about Christabel’s highly acclaimed book Charles & Barbara Blackman: A Decade of Art and Love. Discover the themes and significance of the Charles Blackman works of art within the Gallery’s collection and the author’s experience growing up as the child of two prominent figures in Australian art and culture.
