FreeRemembering Dorothy
Dorothy Hewett was a poet, novelist, playwright, feminist and rebel. When she died in 2002, fellow poet John Kinsella described her as ‘the heart and soul of literature’. To commemorate the centenary of Hewett’s birth in 2024, her son Joe Flood worked with co-curator Marilla North on the book Remembering Dorothy, which includes recollections, poems written for her, and academic articles about her work.
Join this celebration of Hewett’s life and work, which will include performances and a panel discussion. With Joe Flood, Helen Musa, Aarne Neeme, Marilla North, and Pearl Nunn.
This is event is free; no bookings required.
