Welcome to Sex: Yumi Stynes and Melissa Kang in Conversation

Australia has a troubled relationship with sex education, and never has this been more evident than the controversy surrounding the publication of Welcome to Sex: Your No-Silly-Questions Guide to Pleasure, Sexuality and Figuring it Out. A moral panic ensued and, following complaints and backlash by conservative groups, the book was banned and removed from shelves in some places. So, if not with a fun, frank, and fearless book, how do we teach our teens about sex in an age-appropriate way? Yumi Stynes and Dr Melissa Kang will be in conversation with Maeve Marsden.

This event will be live streamed. Details for the Zoom event will be emailed to you after 8.00am AEST on the day of the event. If you have not received this information prior to the event please check your spam folder.
